Every dollar is raised at the table by players like you.
Every dollar raised at these tables funds after-school meals and tutoring for kids in Cedar Falls who would otherwise go home to an empty kitchen. We started in a back room with two tables and eleven players. Last season we filled a hall.
Maya was one of the first fourteen kids in the program. She graduated in June and starts at the state university this fall, the first in her family to go. Fourteen kids became four hundred, one card game at a time.
Seats are limited and they go quickly.
Half the room is learning. That is genuinely part of the fun.
Your entry is the donation. Register online and you are in.
Tell us it is your first time and a dealer will walk you through it hand by hand.
Everyone starts even. Have a good night, meet good people, and know where the money went.
Local businesses covering the costs so more of every entry reaches the cause.
Cedar Falls Community Poker, a volunteer-run league. Questions go to our organizer, Dana Reyes, who answers every one personally.
The Cedar Falls Youth Meal Fund, a registered 501(c)(3). Every entry is receipted and every transfer is published after each event.
Sponsors cover the room, the dealers and the cards, so 100% of every entry goes to the fund. Last season that was $128,400 raised and $128,400 delivered.
Bring a friend, bring a table, bring your whole office. The more seats we fill, the more we raise.
